Money Transfer Worldwide for a few cents...

In an increasingly global world, money transfer is an essential part of modern life.

Shopping is now an international event, and I think nothing of buying my health products from New York (and save 30% even allowing for postage) from wherever I find them, and a wide variety of goods from any merchant that can supply, from anywhere.

So money transfer is essential, especially if your income or pension is coming from a country other than where you live.

Likewise I have a son in New York, family in the UK and friends all over the globe, so again fast, simple and cheap money transfer is essential, especially when you are moving money to, let's say, less sophisticated areas like Africa or some parts of South East Asia.

When I moved to Malaysia recently, one of my biggest problems was that my PayPal accounts were frozen when I logged in from an 'unknown location'. I guess in PayPal terms I live in a bad fiscal neighbourhood, but knowing that's no consolation to me.

I recognise that PayPal were acting in my interests when I tried to use my accounts to move money around the globe, from Malaysia, but having said that, getting PayPal to reopen my payment channels has proven very difficult.

So, I started looking for alternatives.

What else could I do? - PayPal had reopened my account, but with a $5 limit to what I could transfer, which frankly is no use whatsoever, and no matter how much I tried, I was unable to lift this limit.

It may be their software is the problem, I have no idea, but two things struck me.

  1. It's not working.
  2. There was no easy way to contact a human being to get this sorted out.

So what did I find?

Well Western Union, an obvious second choice, also costs far to much for transfers, plus both you and the recipient needs to go deposit or collect from their office.

My (new) local bank are also expensive, and slow, and not particularly user friendly.

My answer came really easily in the end, when I found a service called Ezybonds, which started in Australia but now functions in many other countries worldwide, and will soon be everywhere.

It operates just like PayPal, but without the inconvenience of what their system has developed into, and offers many functions, including instant merchant credit gateway accounts, different currency accounts and even a debit card usable in ATM's and retail stores worldwide.

The 'dashboard' that you open when you login is really simple to use, and transfers happen instantly, you really need to have a look at it before you can understand how easy it is to move money in seconds, for a few cents!

Once you have signed up you can:

  • Link existing credit cards and bank accounts
  • Trade in 13 currency accounts
  • Deposit cash
  • View real time account balances and transactions
  • Withdraw funds at any time
  • Transfer funds by email, SMS text, cash pins or debit cards
  • Pay customers, suppliers, merchants, friends and companies
  • Make bulk payments (all your staff?) in one click!
  • Receive funds from family, friends and companies
  • Order a virtual or real debit card
  • Install a payment button to process on-line transactions
  • Validate credit cards and bank accounts

One of the largest group of folk who move money around are the 'overseas workers', who range from a filipino maid, through Indian construction workers, to ExPat Oil men and all the other people who work abroad for the big (or small) bucks.

Talking to expatiates at a BBQ the other evening, it was apparent that it's quite a problem.... one guy stated that he had to move $5000 each month back to Australia, to pay his mortgage, another needed to move twice that to meet his bills, and as I listened to these guys, it became apparent that they had problems with how long it took to get that money back home, and was costing them a small fortune.

OK, they were all earning big fortunes working overseas, so probably the odd $50 bank transfer charge was not going to stop them eating $50 steaks, but to a man they all saw instantly that with Ezybonds they could transfer almost for free, and as quick as a flash.

How does it work?

Good question, and I'll try to answer it as best I can, having met the man who runs it, maybe I can understand enough to explain.

Basically, when you send cash to yourself or anyone else it loads it straight away to whatever local bank Ezybonds have established a custodial account with, who credit it instantly to that custodial account and await instructions.

Let's say you are transferring funds from London to Australia, well once you have asked that your funds be transferred, they get blocked in the custodial bank your funds are held in, and released from the custodial bank where your recipient has their Ezybond account, making the transfer instant....

This custodial bank aspect is very important, for it means that Ezybond never actually touch your funds, they just get the transfer fee sent to their account.

But perhaps the best aspect is that where you are switching currencies, say transferring from dollars to sterling, Ezybond can normally beat bank exchange rates by 1.5% to 1.7% simply because they charge less margin, so you get more for your cash whilst paying less to send it, plus it arrives in seconds, and believe me, the owner of Ezybond demonstrated that by sending me a token sum, which arrived in my inbox literally a few seconds later, and that was before I opened an account, which took about three minutes.

Once the account is opened you can have either a virtual debit card or an actual debit card, which you can charge up from your bank account in seconds, and use online or at ATM's anywhere in the world, so no danger of your card details being swiped when you shop online, and easy to travel without taking cash or even cards, for you could move cash across to your debit card instantly, as often as you wanted, from internet cafes or hotel rooms anywhere in the world.

Finally, ALL their online transactions are SLL secured, plus they will be rolling out a new system their developers have created, called Splitlock, which literally splits all data sent and which can only be rejoined with special, very, very secure algorythms (OK I'm in wonderland and ignorance of anything like that, but basically it will make any online dealings doubly secure).

And security is important in todays world.

Like the old Remington Razor add stated, "I liked it so much, I bought the company"....

Well not the company, because it's not for sale, but we became Accredited Corporate Managers, which basically means we can do deals with interested people who want to make cash themselves, and assist them in getting their Ezybonds business moving in the right direction.

Ezybonds will be going places as fast as they can move money in the near future, so note the name and sign up for a free account, or contact us if you want to do business.

It's Safe, it's fast and it's easy....

One final point..... there is money in moving money!

When you join Ezybonds, you also have the opportuity to earn referral fees by introducing folk to their system... take a look at their site and see how easy that is also.

Western Union, just posted the following profits...

"Western Union Co. on Tuesday said its third-quarter profit rose by 32 percent as money transfer transactions grew and expenses declined. The company also raised its full-year earnings expectations.

Western Union reported net income of $238.4 million, or 36 cents per share, for the three months ended Sept. 30. That was up from a profit of $181 million, or 26 cents per share, in the same quarter a year ago."

I often transfer money from overseas to my US account. I will have to check this out. I use Citibank, so the actual transfer is free, but I wonder about the exchange rate.

Thank God Pay-Pal is getting some competition. They'll freeze, screw-up and disregard your account at the drop of a hat. Then, as-you-say when you get through to a human they either don't understand or deny the whole thing.

Thanks for the info! You've made my life easier!

My wife is Filippina and therefore sends money home to family at regular intervals. There is over there a door to door system which is very helpful.

Hi Dave, actually we are setting this up in the Philipines especially to assist OFW... when they have this card (which is free) they can transfer instantly from anywhere in the world, even by a mobile sms message, and it's available in seconds, so if mum has a card in Cepu and daughter has a card in Boston, daughter can send cash in seconds to mum who can collect it from any ATM or use it in shops just like any credit card.

Visit the site and take a look!

I love to use Western Union. It more secure and fast. We just need complete information, and the most important is the MTCN numbers. Ten digits number to withdraw the money. Nice review from you. Take care!
