Fade to Black....
Between black and white there are 256 shades of grey.
That's true, but more accurate would be to say that between black and white there are 16.5 million colours.
For white equals the absence of colour, whereas black equals the totality of all colour.
In cinematic terminology the term 'fade to black' signifies the point where the image is obscured totally by the removal of all light.
Light forms images, without light there is nothing to see, but once light is shed on any subject, then the 'image' of that subject begins to form in front of our eyes.
The brighter the light the more defined the image becomes, and conversely the darker the vista, the less clarity is perceivable.
Now I'm sitting here at the keyboard, asking God why He's awoken me after less than five hours with this title, these words and perfect awareness, without any fatigue....and this despite having spent five days fighting the mother of all colds!
It's a matter of absolutes.
All things are on a spectrum between two absolutes.
Life is formed when the correct components are presented to each other.
The male sperm, once freshly produced, comes from a set of testes that were present from before birth, yet only became viable to procreate at a point in time during the development of that human male.
Likewise the woman's ovum was present in the girl babies body at birth, every single ovum that would ever make the journey from life to death, was there at the commencement of her life, and again lie dormant awaiting the biological clock stirring them into action for a season.
From the point in time when these two elements are conjoined, life exists and if left to Gods own devises will multiplicate into a viable human form, if God desires.
The one cell will mulitply until it becomes one whole body to be born, and equally from the point of birth the pathway will take the body to it's apex of development around the twenty first year of life, and the start the slow and gradual death process as each cell starts to die faster than it is replicated and replaced.
There seems to be a symmetry in Gods design and creation.
Gods first words to us are "Let there be light: and there was light."
It's simplistic in a way that only a simple man could describe the point of creation... God said Let there be light: and there was light.
He goes on to tell us "God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness."
God has been in the dividing of light from darkness business ever since time began, and will continue until time ceases.
Truth and deception are the same absolute opposites.
Where all truth abides no lie can be present, yet the moment a lie is introduced, then truth is gradually diminished.
God gave his creation the option to know only the truth, yet when Satan offered them a lie, they chose to corrupt truth with a lie, and started the quest for knowledge that has stretched from creation and will only cease when God reveals all truth.
God started revealing the truth from day one, providing progressive elements of the truth with His every word.........."the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."
We were cut off from that spirit when we chose knowledge over communion, but the spirit has always been present and will continue to be present until God calls it back to Himself.
He revealed His Spirit to certain men throughout history, to prophets and sages, to holy men and wise men.
To those who were open to receiving the light of Gods spirit and to refuse the lie that self awareness gave them.
Those who would deny the lie that they were gods themselves, received the very Spirit of God to guide them through a dark world to all truth, or at least to as much truth as they were capable of receiving.
Throughout Gods word the truth has slowly been revealed, and the image of Christ made more clear to those who would look more closely into the darkness to perceive the light.
In the very first chapter of HisStory God reveals Himself to 'us' when He states "God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness".... OUR image, OUR likeness.
The image begins to appear to those who can see and who seek God, those who do not believe they just happened, who realise that they are formed in the image of something far greater than they can perceive at this time, but yet accept that something did indeed form them, and for a specific purpose.
Are you searching to find God, or are you seeking to find yourself, become your own god?
We make those choices every day for each day the light we shine into our world determines whether we are a force for God or a force for darkness.
Good and Evil coexist, for evil is the absence of good, and vice versa, it's another absolute that denys subjective concepts validity.
Every word you utter, every action you take is swinging the absolute toward light of dark, good or evil, truth or lie.
It's our choice, and we make it whether we want to or not, there is no lack of participation in lifes grand plans just because we decide that we don't want to play.
God reveals Himself, we may try to ignore His presence and the evidence of His existence, but that changes nothing.... God reveals Himself, we must shut our eyes and ears up to the truth in order to live the lie.
Those men who first walked Gods earth chose to live the lie, and eventually God destroyed them in the flood, washed them away like feces in the toilet bowl of life.
Those He found to be holders of the truth, those who had chosen to seek His image and not their own, He saved from judgement and restored to the earth with a promise.
You are related to those people.
"And God said, This is the token of the covenant (solemn pledge) which I am making between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations:
I set My bow [rainbow] in the cloud, and it shall be a token or sign of a covenant or solemn pledge between Me and the earth.
And it shall be that when I bring clouds over the earth and the bow [rainbow] is seen in the clouds, I will [earnestly] remember My covenant or solemn pledge which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters will no more become a flood to destroy and make all flesh corrupt.
When the bow [rainbow] is in the clouds and I look upon it, I will [earnestly] remember the everlasting covenant or pledge between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
And God said to Noah, This [rainbow] is the token or sign of the covenant or solemn pledge which I have established between Me and all flesh upon the earth."
God gave us a rainbow, a full colour spectrum spectacle written wide across the sky, with no start point and no ending, to signify that if we follow His paths, we will be secure in Him.
Whose pathways do you walk upon?
